We believe that if a learner goes to Spain to take a Spanish course then the
normal expectation of the student is to speak as much Spanish as possible
with native speakers. With this philosophy in mind Abc4languages offers
the Teacher Homestay Program .
The Teacher Homestay Program offers the student of Spanish a unique and
innovative opportunity to learn Spanish by combining daily individual classes
with accommodation in the teacherīs home.
The day begins with breakfast with the teacher and is followed by
a morning session of four individual classes where the student works on the
language areas appropriate to his / her level and needs .These classes are tailored
to the requirements of the student. The four skills of listening , speaking , reading
and writing are developed in these sessions. The rest of the day is spent
participating in the normal activities of the family , on cultural visits and
excursions and in using your free time to explore the surrounding area.
Meals are taken with the teacher and family creating the perfect circumstances
to practise the everyday language and expressions which form an
important part of the language. Our experience with this programme is that
the student is able to strike an optimum balance between structured formal
learning and authentic contact with and practice of the everyday language
in the company of an experienced teacher. We feel it is an extremely
effective and enjoyable way to learn Spanish as two weeks of this course
is the equivalent of several weeks on a group course.
Please note that in order to offer the best possible service our policy at
Abc4languages is to place only one course in the teacherīs home at any one
time so the student is guaranteed a fully personalised course.
The course includes four classes every day from Monday to Friday ,
accommodation and meals in your teacherīs home , participation in family
activities , visits , excursions and airport / rail transfers to and from Santander.
The Teacher Homestay course is offered both as an individual programme and as
a 2 to 1 programme with double room accommodation where a couple wish to do
the course together . |
